School Nurse

The School nurse has an involvement with the seven primary schools and Tallangatta Secondary College in the Towong shire.
Education is delivered directly into the classroom environment to Grade 5/6 students involving personal/human development programs within the Towong Shire.

Head lice programs within the primary schools are undertaken, assisting with checks as well as parent education sessions. Secondary school students also receive in school education and contact the School Nurse individually for many varied topics. First Aid instruction to students is given as well as other programs as requested.

The students are terrific and the consistency of a familiar face enhances students’ confidence in obtaining guidance if a concern arises.
