Acute Respite Care

Many people have a family member or friend who provides care to help them continue to live at home. Carers and family members sometimes need support to keep going. As a carer you may need a break for a few days if, for example, you are ill or recovering from an illness yourself.

In addition, the person for whom you are caring might need a change of scenery, or want more companionship than you can provide.

Tallangatta Health Service provides a respite service in the Acute Ward unit of the facility.

Staff are dedicated to ensuring that the respite client has an enjoyable stay while at the health service.
